In the rapidly expanding field of ultrasound quality training is crucial in order to achieve excellent results and hence it is not surprising that the Middle East region in its thrive for world class medicine is investing in this area. In the Academy, courses in abdominal & vascular ultrasound, obstetrical ultrasound, echocardiography, soft tissue- and trauma ultrasound are conducted.
The unique teaching methods used at the Academy draw from the longstanding experience of the LMU Munich University faculty. Interactive small group teaching sessions with patients or volunteers wherever possible is one of the most important features of the Ultrasound Academy. Being provided with the latest high-end technology and equipment from Siemens Medical Solutions the participants are always at the forefront of the technical development in ultrasound imaging. In the courses the clinical relevance of ultrasound is also related to other diagnostic imaging modalities such as CT, MRI, and X-Ray Cardangiography.
The training programs are accredited by Harvard Medical School Dubai Centre (HMSDC) Institute for Postgraduate Education and Research. Participants receive a certificate which follows the German or where applicable European Guidelines for Certification for the specific course level.
With the opening of the Ultrasound Training Academy in Dubai, the Munich University Medical Centre has established a training facility which brings German knowledge and quality in diagnostic ultrasound to medical professionals in the Middle East region. Most recently LMU Munich University has been honoured by international consultants with an award for its concept for promoting leading-edge research.
